Here are the major issues that were found for The First Descendant in November.
We will continue to update this notice with any newly identified issues and bugs, as well as previously reported major issues. Please keep track of the updates during your gameplay.
[November 3rd]
■ An issue where the “Standard ETA Voucher” reward is not granted when defeating the Commander in Infiltration Operation: Hard 400% “The Magister Lab”
- The “Standard ETA Voucher” reward is being granted correctly in Infiltration Operation: Hard 400% “Quarantine Zone,” so we kindly ask that you play other Infiltration Operations until this issue is fixed.
- This issue is scheduled to be fixed in the 1.4.8 patch.
[Previous Known Issues]
■ An issue where the content of the “Battlefield Monster Hunter” Challenge Event does not match the Transcendent Weapon Acquisition Boost Target content
- We have identified an issue where the content set for the “Battlefield Monster Hunter” Challenge Event does not match the Transcendent Weapon Acquisition Chance Boost Target content.
ㄴ Normally, when the Transcendent Weapon Acquisition Chance Boost Target content changes, the same change should also apply to the target content of the “Battlefield Monster Hunter” Challenge Event.
- The Transcendent Weapon Acquisition Chance Boost is being applied correctly to the missions displayed in the “Content with ongoing events” section in the bottom-left corner of the map.
- In addition, please note that event rewards are being granted correctly when you clear the content designated for the “Battlefield Monster Hunter” Challenge Event.
- This issue is scheduled to be fixed in the 1.4.8 patch.
■ (#4) An issue where part of the skill descriptions is not displayed in languages other than Korean when Freyna/Ultimate Freyna’s Transcendent Module “Neurotoxin Synthesis” is equipped
- We have identified an issue where the following text is not displayed in the “Venom Veil” skill description.
ㄴ “Enemies that touch the Toxic Haze are inflicted with Room 0 Trauma.”
- We have identified an issue where the bolded text below is not displayed in the “Putrid Venom” skill description.
ㄴ “Enemies inflicted with Deterioration or Hypersensitivity have decreased Movement Speed and take increased damage from the Unique Weapon.”
- We have identified an issue where the following text is not displayed in the “Venom Baptism” skill description.
ㄴ “Inflicts Room 0 Trauma on nearby enemies upon explosion.”
- This issue is scheduled to be fixed in the 1.4.9 patch.
■ An issue where part of the ‘Extreme Strike’ skill tooltip does not display in languages other than Korean when the Ultimate Hailey Transcendent Module ‘Extreme Strike’ is equipped
- We have identified an issue where part of the ‘Extreme Strike’ skill tooltip does not display in languages other than Korean when the Ultimate Hailey Transcendent Module ‘Extreme Strike’ is equipped.
ㄴ Missing text: When dealing damage to an enemy, the damage is amplified based on the number of Cryo stacks the enemy has. All Cryo on the enemy is removed after the hit.
■ An issue where the intro cutscene for Void Intercept Battle: Extreme 'Frost Walker' does not play properly before the battle starts
- We have identified an issue where the cutscene temporarily does not play after Frost Walker appears in the Void Intercept Battle: Extreme and before the battle starts.
■ Intel CPU Issue
- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.
- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating 'Out of video memory' when launched.
This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.
- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel's official response for your reference.
■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs
- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.
(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.
(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.
