- Sub Quest Sequencing
The progress structures of existing Sub Quests have been reorganized into a sequential format that's easier to follow.
Move on to the next objective as the Main Quest story unfolds, keeping immersion high throughout.
After completing a prerequisite Quest, the next step is clearly indicated, helping minimize unnecessary backtracking.
Open the Map (M key) and follow the newly organized Sub Quest markers to complete Missions.
- Void Erosion Purge Floor Count Reduced
The maximum floor count for Void Erosion Purge content has been reduced, significantly reducing the burden.
With fewer floors to tackle, rewards for each Stage have been increased, allowing for greater efficiency in less time.
Cut down on unnecessary repetition and focus on the core fun of combat and acquiring key rewards.
That covers a brief overview of the major Patch Details so far.
For Descendants who took a break before Season 3 was introduced, we recommend making entry into "Axion Plains" the top priority. To help, here's a growth roadmap to lay out the path.
[Quick 8-Step Full Growth Roadmap]
| Step | Goal | Checkpoint |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Complete the Main Quests (= Story) | Clear the Main Quests Acquire Descendants & Weapons from Mission rewards in each area |
| 2 | Enter Hard Difficulty | Defeat Hanged Man (* Final Colossus of Void Intercept Battle Normal Difficulty) → Acquire Ultimate Bunny -> Enter Hard Difficulty |
| 3 | 400% Infiltration Operation | Key period to focus on leveling Descendants and Weapons Focus on unlocking the Weapon Core system and gathering Materials |
| 4 | Establish Farming Fundamentals | Build the habit of setting a Focus Strategy Secure Crystallization Catalyst Blueprints |
| 5 | Void Vessel | Farming for a Fellow and Ines (Descendant) is the primary goal |
| 6 | Mastery Rank | Aim to raise Mastery Rank to at least 18–20 |
| 7 | Sigma Sector | Aim to reach the maximum Arche Tuning Level (40) |
| 8 | Void Erosion Purge -> Axion | Acquire Weapon Cores by clearing the Erosion Purge, apply them to your Weapons, then aim to enter Axion Plains |
[I followed the roadmap and made it into Axion Plains, now what?]
Entering Axion Plains is not the end. At this point, farming with the next content in mind should become the primary focus. Let's start with a quick breakdown of what each item is and why it should be farmed!
<Ancestors Modules>
This is a specialized Module that grants 4 random stats, allowing Descendants to be pushed past their established limits.
There's an item called a Superconductive Cooling Unit used for Readjustment of Ancestors Module Options. Use it to fine-tune the Module's Stats!
<Trigger Modules>
Grants different Enhanced Effects based on the Descendant's skill type.
Can primarily be acquired as Loot after completing Axion Plains Missions, defeating Wall Crasher, on the Void Vessel, and in a variety of Infiltration Operations.
<Wall Crasher>
Wall Crasher is a Colossus Intercept Battle that appears in Axion Plains every hour on the hour (:00), supporting up to 8 players.
On defeat allows for large quantities of Resources, Components, Gold, and Keys to open Breach Tracking rewards to be acquired, so this is content that shouldn't be missed! (Note: Drops can only be acquired on the first defeat per hourly spawn cycle.)
[I get the goals now, but I still don't know what to do every day]
In The First Descendant, planned daily farming is key and allows the true experience and fun of a looter shooter to shine through. Knowing what to do each day makes a big difference, so here is a daily routine guide for all returning Descendants.
[Recommended Daily Routine]
| Content (= Farming Location) | Target Items |
| Sigma Sector | Ancestors Modules Descendants: Dia/Serena/Hailey |
| 400% Infiltration Operation | Descendant EXP (Important when leveling up a new Descendant) Firearm Proficiency EXP External Components and Reactors |
| Daily and Weekly Missions *Can be checked on the Descendant Mission Board | Ancestors Modules Superconductive Cooling Unit |
| Wall Crasher | Keys for opening major currencies, Materials, and Breach Tracking rewards |
| Breach Tracking | Use the Keys acquired by defeating Wall Crashers to target the following items: 1) Gold (up to 3,500,000 can be acquired) 2) Superconductive Cooling Units 3) Other Core Materials |
| Onslaught | Once you feel confident in your build, make sure to take on the Challenge and aim for the key rewards below! 1) Ancestors Modules 2) Vulgus Bio Data Chips 3) Superconductive Cooling Units 4) Other Core Materials |
[Key Summary for Returning Descendants[
1) Don't forget to reach Arche Tuning Level 40 for your Descendant by clearing Sigma Sector
2) Max out the enhancements on Weapons and Cores to match the current Descendant and build
*Note: The Transcendent Weapons added on 08.20 (Thu) do not require a Core. If your build allows, focus on farming and enhancing Transcendent Weapons first!
3) Unlock Trigger Modules and Farming
↳ Unlocking a Trigger Module requires completing a Quest after reaching Mastery Rank 15 as a prerequisite. After that, use 10 Crystallization Catalysts, 1 Energy Activator, and reach Arche Tuning Level 40 to open the slot. Opening a slot requires 1 Refined Axium Crystal and 300,000 Kuiper Shards, so we recommend farming them in advance.
4) Aim for "max rolls" through consistent Ancestors Module Farming and Readjustment
5) Clear Daily & Weekly Missions and take down Wall Crashers whenever possible (as mentioned earlier, Wall Crashers can be defeated every hour on the hour)
6) Once your build is solid enough, test your limits in Onslaught, Bounty Operations, Trials (updated 08.20 (Thu)), and Karel's Mothership (08.20 (Thu))
[Final Tip – Boost Path]
In The First Descendant, we occasionally run an Event called the "Boost Path" to help New Descendants settle into Albion quickly.
Descendants at Mastery Rank 20 or below can use this Event to easily and quickly obtain the growth currencies needed to complete Ultimate Bunny's "Electric Condense" build, as well as a Transcendent Weapon added on 08.20 (Thu). For more details on this Event, please visit the official website at tfd.nexon.com!
The roadmap and daily routine covered so far are meant to serve as a reference point for finding your footing after returning. They are not the one and only answer. Feel free to adjust them to suit your own playstyle and goals.
We would like to warmly welcome all Descendants who have returned to Albion, and we'll continue to do our best to make your journey even more rewarding. See you on the battlefield!
